There is good news for the sugarcane producing farmers of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government can give a big gift to the farmers before the Lok Sabha elections. It is being said that the state government can increase the rate of sugarcane. Thousands of farmer families of the state will benefit from this. The special thing is that Yogi government has also started preparations for this. At the same time, Bharatiya Kisan Union says that the UP government had not increased the rates of sugarcane even last year. In such a situation, considering the inflation and cost, the Yogi government should declare the sugarcane rate at least Rs 450 per quintal for the sugarcane crushing season 2023-24.
In fact, recently the delegation of Bharatiya Kisan Union (apolitical group) had met CM Yogi. During this time, the delegation had submitted an 11-point demand letter to CM Yogi, in which a demand was made to increase the sugarcane rates soon. It is being said that CM Yogi has given his consent to increase the rates of sugarcane.
Can increase by 30 to 35 rupees
At the same time, Dharmendra Malik, national spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union, says that the outstanding sugarcane price should be paid to the government immediately, so that the farmer brothers can celebrate Durga Puja and Diwali well. In such a situation, it is being said that Yogi government can increase the support price of sugarcane by Rs 30 to 35 this year.
Now there will be a fierce battle
Let us tell you that Uttar Pradesh is the largest sugarcane producing state in the country. About 45 lakh farmers cultivate sugarcane here. This means that the sugarcane crop fuels the homes of 45 lakh farmers in UP. If the state government increases the rates of sugarcane, then 45 lakh farmers of the state will directly benefit. However, earlier farmer leader Rakesh Tikait had said that if the demands of the farmers are not accepted, then there will be an all-out fight. Farmers will take revenge for this in the elections.
