Is Adani Group responsible in Uttarkashi tunnel accident? Amidst this claim, Adani Group issued a clarification on Monday. At present, rescue workers are making continuous efforts to rescue more than 40 workers who are trapped inside the Silkyara-Barkot road under construction on November 12. Since then, this thing is continuously spreading on social media that the owner of the company building this tunnel is none other than Adani Group.

Adani Group said in its clarification that it has come to its notice that some elements are making nefarious attempts to link its name with the tunnel accident in Uttarakhand. Which we strongly condemn. The group said that we clarify that Adani Group or any of its subsidiaries has no direct or indirect involvement in the construction of the tunnel. We also clarify that we do not have any shares in the company involved in the construction of the tunnel, the company said in an official statement.
Uttarkashi Tunnel is part of the Char Dham Project. It is being constructed by Navyug Engineering Company Limited of Hyderabad. The company is part of the Navyug Group promoted by CV Rao and has no apparent links with the Adani Group. Over the past few days, many social media users have criticized the Adani Group over its alleged role in the tunnel collapse.

Earlier, former BJP MP Subramanian Swamy while commenting said that by which private company was this tunnel of Uttarakhand built? Who were its shareholders when it collapsed? Was Adani Group one of them?
In another tweet, he said that if you cannot reach the workers trapped in the tunnel for 15 days, then what is the use of reaching the moon? Tunnel collapse in Uttarakhand, trapping 41 people…built by Gautam Adani-owned Navyug Ltd, which he acquired in 2020. Why didn't Modi visit? Many other similar posts are currently gaining momentum on social media platforms.
