As the scope of investigation of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Mahadev Betting App case is increasing. This case is revealing many deep secrets. Till now only the connection of Bollywood celebrities had come to light in this case. Now it has come to light that the promoters of this app, Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal have also been involved in fixing cricket matches.
ED investigation found that Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal were part of a match-fixing syndicate. According to TOI report, both of them earned crores of rupees every day from match fixing work. A subsidiary app was used for this.
'Mahadev Khiladi' played the game
ED has registered a case against Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal for their involvement in alleged match fixing. Both of them carried out this scam through a subsidiary app named 'Mahadev Khiladi'. ED's investigation revealed that cricket matches were manipulated through a syndicate. Out of the 32 people whose names have appeared in this, 5 have been identified as associates of Saurabh Chandrakar.
These people also used to work from Western Asia and different parts of the country to fix cricket matches. London of Europe is also included in these. Besides, this network also ran from cities like Kolkata and Mumbai. They used to deal completely in Bitcoin payments.
What is the 'Mahadev App' issue?
Saurabh Chandrakar, founder of Mahadev App, lived in Bhilai before 2018 and ran 'Mahadev Juice Centre'. At that time he became fond of betting on online apps. After losing a lot of money in gambling, he went to Dubai. He opened Mahadeep App along with Ravi Uppal. Both Saurabh Chandrakar named it after their juice center in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Till now, names of many leaders, actors as well as Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel have been linked to this scam.
