CM Kejriwal sent the investigation report of Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar to CBI.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sent the investigation report of the alleged land acquisition scam of Rs 850 crore to the CBI. A day earlier, Delhi's Vigilance Minister Atishi had sent her investigation report to Chief Minister Kejriwal. This scam is related to Dwarka Expressway Project. In this case, serious allegations have been made against Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar. The Delhi government has raised this matter strongly and has demanded the removal of the Chief Secretary.

In the investigation report of the Vigilance Minister, Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar has been accused of increasing the price of land 22 times to benefit the company associated with his son Karan Chauhan. After getting the green signal from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, this case has now been sent to CBI as well as ED.

What is the whole case against the Chief Secretary?

Delhi's Vigilance Minister Atishi has submitted the 670-page investigation report into Bamnoli land acquisition to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In this investigation report, Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar has been accused of corruption. However, the Chief Secretary had already said that the allegations leveled against him were baseless. This is completely politically motivated.

According to the investigation report of the Vigilance Department of Delhi Government, the rate for Bamnoli land acquisition was prepared in the year 2018. It has been told in the report that from the year 2019 to 2022, no DM changed that rate, but after Naresh Kumar came to the post, when Hemant Kumar became the DM of South-West district, the compensation was increased by 22 percent. .

How did the compensation for land acquisition increase?

According to the report, 19 acres of land was acquired in Bamnoli village for the Dwarka Expressway. Then its compensation amount was Rs 41.52 crore but the new DM Hemant Kumar increased it to Rs 353.79 crore. Later, the Home Ministry took action in this case and suspended Hemant Kumar and the Delhi High Court also rejected the increased compensation amount.

According to the investigation report of the Vigilance Department of Delhi Government, one of the directors of the real estate company which acquired the land in Bamnoli village was Subhash Chand Kathuria, whose son-in-law is Karan Chauhan, son of the Chief Secretary.
