'I will keep the country above, I will play PSL, not IPL'

Cricketers from all over the world want to participate in the Indian Premier League, which also includes players from Pakistan. But recently Pakistani batsman Ahmed Shehzad has given a big statement on this. Actually, Ahmed Shehzad also wants to be a part of the Indian Premier League, but he believes that even if he gets the IPL contract, he will not play in it if the dates of IPL and PSL clash with each other.

That means this Pakistani player has made it clear that he will never choose IPL over PSL. Let us tell you that Shahzad gave this statement on Pakistani TV channel Samaa TV. He was asked that if you were offered to play in both PSS and IPL and you were having a date clash, where would you play?

Here Shahzad did not take even a minute and immediately replied saying PSL. He said, 'I will play in PSL. IPL is still at number 1. He is number 1 in the world. We have to reach there. There will not be any player who would not want to play there. And the one who is refusing is doing so only on TV. When he gets a chance he will definitely go. But when both the leagues are clashing then no matter what is happening in the world. No matter how big things are going on, you always put your country first.

Let us tell you that even though Ahmed Shehzad has chosen PSL over IPL at the moment, he has definitely said in his statement that he wants to play in IPL. But this dream of Shahzad will probably remain a dream because BCCI has banned any Pakistani player from playing in IPL. Shahzad will never be able to play in IPL while living in Pakistan, but if he changes his citizenship then perhaps some franchise can buy him in IPL.
