Prasidh Krishna bowled the second, eighth, 18th and last over of Australia's innings. During this, he gave away 16 runs in the first over, 23 runs in the second over, 6 runs in the third over and 23 runs in the fourth over, which was also the decisive over of the innings. In this way, he spent 68 runs in his four-over spell without taking any wicket and made an unwanted record in his name for India spending the most runs in a T20I match. Earlier, this unwanted record was held in the name of leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who had given 64 runs without any wicket against South Africa in 2018.
Talking about the match, Australia won the toss and gave India the chance to bat first. The Indian team scored 222/3 in 20 overs with the help of Ruturaj Gaikwad's first international century. In reply, Australia scored 225/5 and won the match on the last ball. At one time the Australian team was looking behind but Glenn Maxwell scored his fourth T20I century and made an unbeaten partnership of 91 runs in just 40 balls with team captain Matthew Wade (28*) and gave his team a memorable victory. This was the biggest successful run chase by any team in T20I against India.
