Now inflation will not make you cry, soon onion will be sold at Rs 25 per kg at Mother Dairy

The rising prices of onion will no longer make the common man cry. Actually, now onions will be sold at cheaper prices at the successful outlets of Mother Dairy. Due to which the common man will get a lot of relief from inflation during the festive season. Soon onion will be retailed at Mother Dairy at the rate of Rs 25.

Onion prices are skyrocketing day by day. Due to which there is a lot of burden on the pocket of the common man. In such a situation, the government has taken a big step to provide relief to the people from inflation and rising prices. Yes, now onion inflation will not make you cry on Diwali. Actually, the buffer stock of onion will now be sold at a lower price at your nearest Mother Dairy. At the same time, NCCF and NAFED are already retailing buffer onions at concessional rates on behalf of the Central Government.

Government is selling onions in 55 cities

NAFED has so far opened 329 retail centers including mobile vans and station outlets in 55 cities in 21 states. NCCF has also opened 457 retail centers in 54 cities in 20 states. Kendriya Bhandar has also started retail sale of onion from its outlets in Delhi-NCR from November 3.

The Consumer Affairs Ministry said in a statement, “Sales of buffer onion will start at Safal Mother Dairy from the end of the week. Hyderabad Agricultural Cooperative Association (HACA) is retailing onions to people in Telangana and other southern states. Let us tell you, the government is doing this to provide relief from the increased prices due to shortage in supply.

This much is the buffer stock

The government has maintained a buffer stock of five lakh tonnes of onion for the current year and plans to create a buffer of additional two lakh tonnes. Due to these steps of the government, there is a downward trend in the wholesale prices of onion, but its effect is taking time to be seen in the retail markets.

According to the Consumer Ministry, retail prices are expected to fall in the coming week. Apart from this, the government has introduced 'Bharat Dal' at a concessional price of Rs 60 per kg to ensure availability of pulses in common households.
