World Cup 2023 is at its last stage where India and Australia will face each other in the final match. This match will be played on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, before this big match, former England captain Michael Vaughan has reprimanded the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket Australia (CA).
In fact, just 4 days after the World Cup 2023, a five-match T20 series is scheduled between India and Australia, regarding which Vaughan has registered his strong protest. Vaughan has said that this is pure greed as there was no point in holding the T20 series immediately after the World Cup and the players should have been given at least 2 weeks to celebrate the World Cup victory.
Vaughan tweeted from his official Twitter account and wrote, “It is not right for me that the 2 finalists will start the T20 series against each other after 4 days. Why can't we give the players a chance to take some rest after the World Cup or give whoever wins a chance to celebrate properly for a few weeks. This is pure greed and overkilling.
This statement of Vaughan is also getting support from Indian fans, due to which fans are trolling BCCI and Jai Shah a lot on social media. At the same time, if we talk about this T-20 series, Australia has announced its team whereas the Indian team can probably announce its team after the final.
Australian team for T20 series against India: Matthew Wade (captain), Jason Behrendorff, Sean Abbott, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson, Glenn Maxwell, Tanveer Sangha, Matt Short, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, David Warner and Adam Zampa.
