Who should be the captain of the Indian team in T20 World Cup? Zaheer Khan has predicted

T20 World Cup 2024 is to be played in the year 2024 which will be played in West Indies and United States. Before this big ICC tournament, the question in the minds of Indian cricket fans is that who will captain the Indian team in the T20 World Cup? If you also have this question in your mind, then let us tell you that  former Indian team cricketer Zaheer Khan has given his opinion on this issue. 

While making a prediction, Zaheer Khan has called Hitman as the captain of the Indian team in the T20 World. While talking to Cricbuzz, he said, 'There is not much time in the T20 World Cup, so I think Team India should go with experience. In such a situation, you should give preference to an experienced player and I would not be surprised at all if Rohit Sharma takes charge of India in the T20 World Cup 2024. 

He further said, 'Rohit has been the captain of the Indian team. He understands his players. They know how to handle situations and pressure. The remaining players in the list can be prepared for the future. But right now I feel that Rohit should be the captain in the upcoming World Cup.

Let us tell you that Rohit Sharma had distanced himself from T20 cricket in the past to focus on 50 over cricket. He played his last T20 match for India against England in November 2022. He is also not a part of the T20 series being played at home with Australia. This is why whether he will captain the Indian team in the upcoming T20 World Cup or not has become a big question. Also know that in the absence of Rohit, Hardik Pandya has led the Indian T20 team, but he is not fit due to which Suryakumar Yadav is currently leading the team.
