Why did RCB include Cameron Green worth Rs 17.50 crore in the team, the team director gave the reason

Royal Challengers Bangalore's Cricket Director Mo Bobat has described Cameron Green as an ideal fit for them after the trade move from Mumbai Indians on the day of IPL 2024 retention deadline. Green was bought by Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 auction for a huge amount of Rs 17.50 crore. According to reports, MI approached several teams before trading Green to RCB

Director Mo Bobt said, "He is a perfect fit for us in a middle-order power role. He is a high-class, skilled and powerful batsman. He has the game against both pace and spin. He has international cricket in all formats. There is experience and I am sure he will enjoy batting at Chinnaswamy. He is also a brilliant bowler and he bowls with pace and bounce, which were definitely the qualities we were looking for, especially in our domestic Under the circumstances. We must not forget what an excellent fielder he is. Some of the catches he has taken while fielding in the gully in recent times have been really impressive."

The IPL 2024 auction is scheduled to take place on December 19 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. This will be the third and final year of three-year contracts for each player and a mega-auction is expected to take place next year. This will be the first time the auction will be held outside India. Last year, BCCI had initially planned to hold the auction in Istanbul, but it was eventually held in Kochi.
