Director Mo Bobt said, "He is a perfect fit for us in a middle-order power role. He is a high-class, skilled and powerful batsman. He has the game against both pace and spin. He has international cricket in all formats. There is experience and I am sure he will enjoy batting at Chinnaswamy. He is also a brilliant bowler and he bowls with pace and bounce, which were definitely the qualities we were looking for, especially in our domestic Under the circumstances. We must not forget what an excellent fielder he is. Some of the catches he has taken while fielding in the gully in recent times have been really impressive."
