 company Zomato is going viral on social media. Actually, to create hype in the market, Zomato offered a salary of Rs 1.6 crore to an IIT Delhi student named Hrithik Talwar and later withdrew it. Hrithik Talwar, a research intern at IIT Delhi, has given this information by posting on social media platform Shared a screenshot of his college's notice on micro-blogging site 'X', informing students that some companies, including Zomato, will no longer participate in the placement process for the position of 'Algorithm Manager'. He wrote that he was offered an annual salary package of Rs 1.6 crore from Zomato and it was later withdrawn. Let us tell you that Zomat has been famous for such bizarre marketing antics in the past also.

This action of Zomato is being strongly criticized on the post made by the student on X. Many users termed it as a 'low step'. One user commented, "If Zomato did this as a marketing stunt, they should be ashamed of themselves." Another wrote that if this was really a marketing ploy, then Zomato did a very despicable job. Let us tell you that after a long time, Zomato has returned to profit from loss. The company has returned to profit in the second quarter of FY 24. Where the company had recorded a loss of Rs 251 crore in the second quarter of FY 23, In the September quarter, it registered a profit of Rs 36 crore.
