2nd ODI: Tony de Georgi scored a century, South Africa defeated India by 8 wickets


South Africa defeated India by 8 wickets with the help of Tony de Zorzi's century in the second match of the three-match ODI series. With this the series became equal to 1-1. The last match will be played on 21 December. For India, Sai Sudharsan and captain KL Rahul played half-century innings but it was not enough for the team to win. 

Batting first, the Indian team collapsed on the score of 211 in 46.2 overs. Sai Sudarshan scored the most runs for the team. Facing 83 balls, he scored a half-century of 62 runs with the help of 7 fours and one six. Captain KL Rahul played a half-century of 56 runs in 64 balls with the help of 7 fours. Sudarshan and captain KL Rahul made a partnership of 68 (91) runs. Arshdeep Singh scored 18(17) and debutant Rinku Singh scored 17(14). Nandre Berger got the maximum 3 wickets for South Africa. Keshav Maharaj and Buron Hendrix took 2 wickets each. Lizard Williams and captain Aiden Markram got one wicket each. 

Chasing the target, the South African team won the match by losing 2 wickets in 42.3 overs and scoring 215 runs. Georgie scored the most runs for South Africa. He scored an unbeaten century of 119 runs in 122 balls with the help of 9 fours and 6 sixes. Reeza Hendricks played a half-century of 52 runs in 81 balls with the help of 7 fours. Georgi and Hendricks gave a great start to the team by making a partnership of 130 (167) runs for the first wicket. Rassie van der Dussen contributed 36 runs in 51 balls with the help of 5 fours. Georgi and Dusen added 76 (83) runs for the second wicket. Arshdeep Singh and debutant Rinku got one wicket each for India.
