5 Indian players who were sold the most expensive in IPL 2024 auction

 


The IPL 2024 auction took place on December 19 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. 333 players had registered themselves in this auction. Australia's left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc became the most expensive player in IPL history. Kolkata Knight Riders bought him for Rs 24.75 crore. So we will tell you about those top 5 players who were sold the most expensively in the IPL 2024 auction. 

Harshal Patel- 11.75 crores (Punjab Kings)

Haryana's right-arm fast bowler Harshal Patel was the most expensive Indian player in the IPL 2024 auction. He was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 11.75 crore. Earlier, Harshal was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore. His last season was not good. However, he has performed well in the domestic circuit. He has the experience of bowling well in the death overs in IPL, which Punjab would like to take advantage of. Harshal has played 92 matches in IPL and has taken 111 wickets with the help of an economy rate of 8.59. 

Sameer Rizvi- 8.40 crore (Chennai Super Kings)

20-year-old Sameer Rizvi was added by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 8.40 crore. Rizvi holds the record of hitting most sixes for Kanpur Superstars in the UP T20 League. Apart from this, he scored 455 runs in nine innings of the tournament while playing two centuries. However, in his first innings with Under-23, he showed a glimpse of his potential by scoring 91 runs in 65 balls in the ODI match against Rajasthan.

Shahrukh Khan- 7.40 crores (Gujarat Titans)
