India's opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal, who came to bat first, made a partnership of 50 runs with Rituraj. Jaiswal played a tremendous inning of 37 runs, which included 6 fours and 1 six. After Jaiswal's dismissal, Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav also returned to the pavilion cheaply. Shreyas scored 8 runs while captain Surya scored only 1 run. After this, Rituraj standing at the other end along with Rinku Singh rescued the team from continuous setbacks. There was a partnership of 48 runs between the two batsmen. Rituraj lost his wicket after scoring 32 runs. Young wicketkeeper batsman Jitesh Sharma supported Rinku Singh for the 5th wicket. Jitesh Sharma scored 35 runs in 19 balls which included 1 four and 3 sixes. On the other end, Rinku Singh scored 46 runs and missed his half-century. Rinku played an important innings, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes in 29 balls. For Australia, Ben Dwarshuis took maximum 3 wickets while Behrendorff and Tanveer Sangha got 2 wickets each.
While chasing the difficult target given by Team India, the Kangaroo team got a fast start but first Josh Phillipi scored 8 runs and Travis Head returned to the pavilion after scoring 31 runs. Akshar Patel sent Ben McDermott to the pavilion early for 19 runs and Aaron Hardy for 8 runs. Team David tried to play fast in the middle order but it also became the victim of Deepak Chahar after scoring 19 runs. Deepak Chahar also turned the match towards India by dismissing Matthew Short. In the end, captain Matthew Wade fought well but could not lead his team to victory. Wade scored 36 runs. For India, Akshar Patel took maximum 3 wickets and Deepak Chahar took 2 wickets.
