T10 League 2023: New York Strikers won the title by defeating Deccan Gladiators by 7 wickets

 


In the final of T10 League 2023, New York Strikers defeated Deccan Gladiators by 7 wickets and captured the trophy. From the strikers side, Asif Ali left his mark with the bat and Sunil Narine with the bowling. Rahmanullah Gurbaz came as an impact player for New York. Waqar Salamkhil came in as an impact player for the Gladiators. 

Batting first, Deccan Gladiators scored 91 runs losing 5 wickets in 10 overs. Andre Russell scored the most runs for the team. He played an unbeaten inning of 30 runs in 18 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes. David Wiese scored 20 runs in 11 balls with the help of one four and 2 sixes. Russell and Wiese made a partnership of 34*(17) runs. Nicholas Puran scored 15 runs in 11 balls with the help of 3 fours. Sunil Narine got the maximum 2 wickets for New York Strikers. George Scrimshaw, Akil Hosein and Muhammad Jawadullah got one wicket each. 

New York Strikers chased the target and won the match by scoring 94 runs in 9.2 overs. Asif Ali scored the most runs for New York. He played an unbeaten inning of 48 runs in 25 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes. Captain Kieron Pollard scored 22* runs in 13 balls with the help of one six. Asif and Pollard made a partnership of 56* (29). For Gladiators, Nuwan Thushara, Trent Boult and Andre Russell got one wicket each.
