T10 League 2023: Nuwan Thushara and Tom Kohler-Cadmore shine in Gladiators' victory, Warriors defeated by 8 wickets

 

In the 21st match of T10 League 2023, Deccan Gladiators tasted a crushing defeat by 8 wickets to Northern Warriors with the help of Nuwan Thushara's brilliant bowling and Tom Kohler-Cadmore's dashing half-century. In this match played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, Deccan Gladiators won the toss and decided to bowl first. Deccan Gladiators now top the points table with 4 wins and 2 losses in 6 matches. Whereas Northern is at sixth position in the points table with 2 wins and 4 losses in 6 matches. 

Northern Warriors, batting first, scored 100 runs losing 6 wickets in 10 overs. James Neesham scored the most runs for the team. He played an inning of 31 runs in 23 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Angelo Mathews contributed 29 runs in 18 balls with the help of one four and 2 sixes. Nuwan Thushara took 4 wickets for Deccan Gladiators. 

Deccan Gladiators, chasing the target, won the match by losing 2 wickets and scoring 102 runs in 6.1 overs. Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored the highest number of runs with the bat being 69(19)*. In this explosive innings, he hit 4 fours and 8 sixes. Andre Fletcher faced 9 balls and scored 18 runs with the help of 2 fours and a six. Tabrez Shamsi and Sultan Ahmed were successful in taking one wicket each for Northern Warriors.
