Team India announced for South Africa tour, Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav became captains, Rohit and Kohli were out.

 


Suryakumar Yadav will lead India in the three-match T20 International series against South Africa starting on December 10, followed by three ODIs and two Tests in Centurion (from December 26) and Cape Town (from January 3). Matches will be played. KL Rahul will captain the ODI team. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not go to Africa for the white ball series as they had requested rest from the board. 

Rohit and Virat will play test series. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami's availability depends on his fitness and he is currently undergoing medical treatment. Sai Sudarshan has got a chance in the ODI team for the first time. Sanju has got a place not in T20 but in the ODI team. Deepak Chahar has returned in both ODI and T20. Surya has failed to make his place in the ODI team. 

India's squad for the three-match T20 International series:  Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Rinku Singh, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja. During the tour, India A will also play two four-day matches and one inter-squad three-day match against South Africa A.
