There are many things related to Britain's new king, King Charles III, on which there is controversy. Now a question has arisen on his mentality. One of the most talked about couples in the Royal Family is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He married against the wishes of the Royal family and lives separately due to disputes in the family. It has been revealed in a book about King Charles that when Meghan gave birth to a child, Charles made racial remarks against her. Buckingham Palace is angry with this and they are considering legal action.
Charles's comments have been revealed in the Dutch edition of the book titled “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival”. Written by Omid Scobie, the book alleges that senior members of the British royal family made offensive comments about the skin of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son, Prince Archie. Meghan, who is of African American origin, had earlier said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that an unknown member of the royal family had commented on the color of her child's skin.
Charles commented on Markle's child
The name of that 'senior member' has not been disclosed in author Scobie's book, but in the Dutch edition it has been specifically mentioned that Charles actually made a racial comment on the color of Markle's child. A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace has confirmed that they are considering all available options in response. Many media outlets in Britain have avoided naming any member of the royal family.
Book sales stopped in Netherlands
This issue got further aired when 'TalkTV', citing the Dutch edition, discussed the alleged involvement of Charles and Kate. British Security Minister Tom Tugendhat said on the controversy that started over the TalkTV show that unproven rumors and claims have been made about the royal family. The sale of this book has been stopped in the Netherlands. According to the report, meanwhile, the actual author of the book, Scobie, says that this was not done intentionally. He said that sales of his book have stopped after the controversy.
