Every ritual has a special significance in Hindu weddings. One of these rituals is the ritual of seven rounds and taking 7 vows which helps in connecting two souls during marriage. Talking about the customs and rituals of marriage, it not only connects two people but also teaches them to fulfill every responsibility of life along with their promises. In Hindu religion, marriage is considered incomplete without seven rounds and 7 vows. Therefore, during the marriage, seven vows are taken along with seven rounds.

Pandit Rajendra Tiwari told TV9 Digital that in Hindu religion, the tradition of taking seven rounds during marriage is considered a bond of seven births. The bride and groom take seven rounds with the fire as a witness and with each round they also take an oath to fulfill seven promises. So that they can live together for the next seven births. He also promises to maintain the relationship between husband and wife with all his mind, body and soul.

In Sanatan Dharma, the significance of seven rounds and seven words is to join the soul and body of two people together. It is believed that because of these seven rounds and seven vows, the bride and groom stay together for seven births and support each other.
