Zimbabwe captain banned for 2 T20I matches, punished for quarreling with Irish players

All three matches of the T20 series between Zimbabwe and Ireland (ZIM vs IRE) will be held at Harare Sports Club. The host team Zimbabwe won the first match by 1 wicket. Captain Sikandar Raza's excellent all-round performance was seen in that match. Sikandar Raza played an innings of 65 runs in batting and took 3 wickets for 28 runs in bowling, but along with this, in the first match, he had a fight with two players of Ireland and now ICC has punished Sikandar Raza for that fight. .

Actually, while chasing the target given by Ireland, Sikandar Raza took a single in the 14th over but he started having a conflict with the bowler Josh Little. After that there was tension between Curtis Campher and Raza also. In the midst of this fight, the umpire came and pacified the matter, but Sikandar Raza's anger did not stop here, he showed his bat towards both the players, after which the matter escalated. In the end the umpire calmed down the matter by having a long conversation with Ireland captain Paul Stirling.

The ICC reviewed the clash between the three players and decided to give 50% of Sikandar Raza's match fee and 2 demerit points. Sikandar Raza has received a total of 4 demerit points in the last 24 months, due to which he has been banned for the second and third matches of this T20 series. Sean Williams has been made the stand-in captain in place of Sikandar Raza. Josh Little and Curtis Campher have also been given 15% match fee and 1 demerit point each and this is the first time in the last 24 months that such a fine has been imposed on these players.

The second T20 match is being played between Zimbabwe and Ireland today, while the third match will be played on 10 December.
