EPFO has said in its circular that from now onwards Aadhar card will not be used for change in date of birth. In the circular issued on Tuesday, January 16, citing the letter of UIDAI, the Employees Provident Fund Organization said that we have Following the instructions, Aadhaar card has now been removed from the list of valid documents.

Now these documents will be used for date of birth

EPFO said that if an employee wants to make any update related to the date of birth in his account, then he will have to present his birth certificate, if he does not have it then he can submit the mark sheet of any government board or government university, school leaving certificate, school certificate etc. Will be able to give transfer certificate but it should have date of birth on it, EPFO ​​has also recognized medical certificate issued by civil surgeon, passport, PAN number, government pension card and mediclaim certificate, domicile certificate for this.

UIDAI did not consider Aadhaar as authentic document for date of birth 

Let us tell you that the Unique Identification Authority of India UIDAI has said that Aadhaar card should be used only as an identity card and residence certificate i.e. address proof, it should not be used as a proof of date of birth, it is a 12 digit number. This is an identity card issued by the Government of India, although at the time of making it, the date of birth is also entered on it along with all the documents, but it should not be considered as certified for the date of birth.
