After Mamta, blow to AAP's INDIA alliance, CM Mann said - will contest elections alone in Punjab

Before the Aam Aadmi Party, West Bengal CM and TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee had announced that her party would contest the elections alone in Bengal. TMC and Congress were not able to agree on seats. While Congress was demanding 10-12 seats, Mamata was ready to give only 2 seats.

After Mamata Banerjee's party Trinamool Congress, Aam Aadmi Party has also shocked the India alliance. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has refused to form an alliance with the Congress in the state. He said that we are not going with Congress. Mann said that AAP is going to contest alone on all the 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab. Bhagwant Mann was not in favor of the alliance. He had many times announced to contest the elections alone from a public platform. Let us tell you that AAP and Congress are rivals of each other in Punjab.

AAP and Congress have been continuously insisting that they will field their respective candidates on all the seats in Punjab. Both the parties, along with increasing their political influence in Punjab, are also hopeful that the election results will be in their favor. Before AAP, Trinamool Congress had given a blow to the India alliance. TMC chief Mamata Banerjee announced that her party will contest the elections alone in Bengal. While Congress was demanding 10-12 seats in the state, Mamata was ready to give only 2 seats.

CM Mann had made it clear

CM Mann had recently made it clear that AAP is capable of facing the elections alone. He had said that AAP had contested the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections alone and won 92 out of 117 seats. He had also then said that AAP has won Delhi elections thrice and has secured 13% votes on its own in Gujarat. AAP is the youngest party to become a national party. We also know how to form governments and run them.

AAP was expecting clarity on seat distribution by the middle of this month. A leader had said that whether it is Punjab or Delhi, we will discuss seat-sharing with Congress with an open mind. There is no other way to deal with the situation. If the country has to be saved, if the Constitution has to be saved, then the issue of losing the voter base for the assembly elections will have to be kept on the back burner.

AAP has announced in Punjab that it will contest the elections alone. The question arises what will happen to Delhi now. Even regarding Delhi, the talks on seats have not been finalized yet. The buzz is that the deal between the two is sealed. Two formulas have been decided. Under the first formula, one party will contest on 4 seats and the other on 3 seats. According to the second formula, one party will contest on 5 seats and the other on 2 seats.
