On Friday, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has announced an alliance with Rashtriya Lok Dal. RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary has also met Akhilesh Yadav. While announcing the alliance, Akhilesh Yadav has also appealed to everyone to unite for victory and said that everyone should come together for this.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, while sharing the picture of his meeting with Jayant Chaudhary on social media platform X, wrote, Congratulations to everyone on the alliance of Rashtriya Lok Dal and SP! Let us all unite for victory! There is talk in political circles that RLD has also submitted the names of its 8 seats to be contested in 2024 elections to Akhilesh Yadav.
On the demand of 8 seats, Akhilesh Yadav has also asked Jayant Chaudhary for the names of possible candidates contesting the elections on the symbol of RLD and has also asked him to tell the criteria for the victory of the candidate. There was a meeting between Samajwadi Party and Congress leaders on Wednesday. It is said that in this meeting, Congress had asked Akhilesh Yadav to talk to RLD and finalize the seat.
RLD can contest elections on 6-7 seats
It is being said that an agreement has also been reached between Samajwadi Party and RLD regarding seats. After the demand for 8 seats, talks have been finalized on 6-7 seats. RLD will contest elections in alliance on 6-7 seats. Most of the seats in this are from Western UP. According to sources, this agreement was reached after talks between Akhilesh Yadav and Jayant Chaudhary.
RLD expressed willingness to contest elections on these seats
Akhilesh Yadav has already said that RLD and Congress will be given full respect in seat distribution. The seats in West UP where RLD has expressed its desire to field its candidates include Baghpat, Mathura, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Amroha and Kairana. Apart from this, talks are going on to give one seat each from Aligarh and Fatehpur Sikri. However, no official announcement has been made yet regarding the seats.
