Ambani made a record by leaving Ratan Tata behind, earned Rs 90 thousand crore in the second week of the year

Last week, Bombay Stock Exchange's main index Sensex rose by 542.3 points or 0.75 percent. Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty rose by more than 1 percent on Friday to reach their new life time high.

The second week of the year was in the name of Reliance Industries, the company of Asia's richest businessman Mukesh Ambani. It earned the highest earning by beating Ratan Tata's TCS. The company's shares witnessed a rise in 5 trading sessions and reached record levels. The special thing is that the market cap of the country's largest company saw an increase of more than Rs 90 thousand crore and the market cap crossed Rs 18.50 lakh crore.

On the other hand, there was a rise in the shares of TCS and the market cap of the company saw a rise of more than Rs 50 thousand crores. By the way, last week there was an increase of Rs 1,99,111.06 crore in the market cap of 5 out of the top 10 companies of the country. In which the maximum profit was seen in MCAP of Reliance Industries. On the other hand, the market cap of HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, State Bank of India and Life Insurance Corporation of India took a total hit of Rs 76,098.67 crore last year.

These companies benefited

The country's largest company Reliance Industries added Rs 90,220.4 crore to its market cap, due to which its valuation increased to Rs 18,53,865.17 crore.

There was an increase of Rs 52,672.04 crore in the valuation of TCS and the market cap became Rs 14,20,333.97 crore. Shares of Tata Consultancy Services had risen by about 4 percent on Friday. The company reported an 8.2 percent increase in net income to Rs 11,735 crore for the December quarter.

Infosys' market cap increased by Rs 32,913.04 crore to Rs 6,69,135.15 crore. Infosys shares jumped 8 percent on Friday after the company's December quarter earnings came in line with market expectations.

The valuation of Bharti Airtel increased by Rs 16,452.93 crore, after which the market cap of the company became Rs 6,05,299.02 crore.

ICICI Bank's mcap increased by Rs 6,852.65 crore. After which the market cap of the bank became Rs 7,04,210.07 crore.

These companies suffered losses

The mcap of HDFC Bank decreased by Rs 32,609.73 crore and the market cap came down to Rs 12,44,825.83 crore.

The valuation of Hindustan Unilever decreased by Rs 17,633.68 crore. After which the market cap of the company became Rs 5,98,029.72 crore.

The mcap of the country's largest insurance company LIC fell by Rs 9,519.13 crore to Rs 5,24,563.68 crore.

The market cap of ITC, one of the country's largest companies, declined by Rs 9,107.19 crore to Rs 5,82,111.90 crore.

The valuation of State Bank of India, the country's largest lender, declined by Rs 7,228.94 crore to Rs 5,65,597.28 crore.
