Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jammu and Kashmir on January 9. During the one-day visit, Amit Shah will participate in several development-related programs and flag off an e-bus service in the city.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jammu and Kashmir on January 9. Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a review meeting for the comprehensive development of Jammu and Kashmir. The Home Minister will launch the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra there. Also, the Home Minister will flag off the e-bus service in Jammu and Kashmir. Will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development works. Home Minister Amit Shah will also distribute appointment letters to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said that the Union Home Minister will visit Jammu on Tuesday. During this, he will participate in many development-related programs and flag off an e-bus service in the city.

This will be Shah's first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after terrorists ambushed two army vehicles in Poonch on December 21, killing five soldiers and injuring two others.

A top official of the Home Ministry says that the Home Minister will participate in many programs during his visit to Jammu on January 9. There will be a review meeting on comprehensive development in Jammu and Kashmir. He will preside over that meeting.

Apart from this, Shah will launch the central government initiative 'Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra', flag off an e-bus service and inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development works.

Amit Shah had reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir with top officials of the Central Government and Jammu and Kashmir administration in New Delhi on January 2. In that meeting, Shah had directed the officials to further strengthen anti-terrorism operations.

Instructions to strengthen anti-terrorism campaign

Shah had advised for proper deployment of security agencies in sensitive areas of the Union Territory. He had said in the meeting that all proper methods and procedures should be followed while dealing with anti-terrorism operations.

That meeting was attended by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Manoj Pandey and top officials of intelligence and other security agencies.

Let us tell you that after the recent terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, the Central Government has given instructions to maintain vigilance. Along with this, it has been said to give emphasis on developmental work in the Union Territory.
