Apart from Ram temple in Ayodhya, you can also visit these religious places

The grand Ram temple is going to be inaugurated in Ayodhya on January 22, but there are other places where you can visit. These include Guptar Ghat, Tulsi Memorial Library, Bahu Begum Tomb, Chhoti Chhawni and the famous Treta Ke Thakur Temple.

The grand temple of Lord Shri Ram is going to be inaugurated in Ayodhya on 22 January. People from all over the country have started preparing to come to Ayodhya to be a part of this ceremony. But let us tell you that there are not only Ram temple in Ayodhya but also other beautiful places which you must visit.

Ayodhya is said to be the birthplace of Shri Ram which is situated on the banks of river Saryu. Ever since the work of Ram temple has started in Ayodhya, tourism has increased a lot here. Crowd of tourists is increasing here every day. Along with tourism, employment opportunities have also increased here. If you are also planning to go to Ayodhya around 22nd January, then you must visit these places in this beautiful city.

Thakur of Treta

Treta Ke Thakur Temple contains many idols including Lord Shri Ram, Lakshman, Sita, Hanuman, Bharat, Sugriva. This temple is located near Naya Ghat of Ayodhya. It is believed that these statues are made of black sandstone. This temple was built 300 years ago by King Kullu. Ahilyabai Holkar, who was the Maratha queen in the 1700s, had this temple repaired and given a new look.

Chhoti Cantonment, Ayodhya

Chhoti Chhawni is also known as Valmiki Bhawan or Pir Maniram Das Chhawni. This is one of the magnificent structures of Ayodhya. If you come to Ayodhya, definitely visit this place once, here you will get to see old caves. There are a total of 34 caves in the small cantonment, 12 are Buddhist, 17 are Hindu temples in the center and 5 are Jain temples in the north.

Tulsi Memorial Building

This Tulsi Memorial was established in the memory of Goswami Tulsidas, a saint poet of the 16th century. It was at this grand place that Tulsidas ji composed Ramcharit. This is a huge library where you will get to see a wealth of literature. If you are fond of reading books then do not forget to visit this place. Here you will get information about literature, culture and spirituality of Ayodhya. This monument displays Ramayana arts and crafts.

Tomb of Bahu Begum

The tomb of Bahu Begum is also known as the former Taj Mahal. It is counted among the tallest monuments of Faizabad. This tomb is a unique display of the famous architecture of Awadh. It was constructed in 1816, at that time the total cost of this temple was Rs 3 lakh. An excellent view of the entire city can be seen from the top of this tomb.

Guptar Ghat

This ghat is situated on the banks of river Saryu which is also known as Ghaggar Ghat. This is a famous place near Faizabad. Earlier there used to be a company garden near the stairs of Guptar Ghat, which is now known as Guptar Ghat Forest. It was at this place that Lord Ram meditated and then took Jal Samadhi, after which Shri Ram attained Vaikuntha.
