Ayodhya's reputation will increase in the world, tourists will spend Rs 1.26 lakh every second!

In the year 2022, 32 crore domestic tourists came to UP, out of which 2.21 crore tourists were in Ayodhya alone. In which there is an increase of 200 percent compared to the year 2021. An even greater increase may be seen in the coming years.

Lord Ram's life has been consecrated in the Ram temple of Ayodhya. After that, the whole world is surprised by the way crowds of devotees are being seen in Ayodhya. The country's largest bank SBI estimates that Rs 1.26 lakh will be spent by devotees every second in Ayodhya. Yes, SBI says that there will be an increase in tourism in the state and the total expenditure by domestic and foreign tourists can be Rs 4 lakh crore by the end of the year. SBI Ecowrap estimates that the state government can earn Rs 20,000-25,000 crore more due to the huge surge in tourist numbers during the financial year 2025.

Spiritual tourism is continuously increasing

According to SBI Research Report, the Centre's Prasad Scheme is ready to play a role in developing the spiritual travel industry in India in collaboration with the state governments. The rise in spiritual tourism has already completely changed the face of tourism in UP. Due to which physical and digital infrastructure has improved. Connectivity has increased. Travel has increased and people have been encouraged to engage more meaningfully with historical sites. Domestic tourism is growing rapidly in UP, which has many holy places and pilgrimage sites like River Ganga, Varanasi, Taj Mahal and now the new Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Expenditure of more than Rs 4 lakh crore

According to Dr. Soumya Kanti Ghosh of State Bank of India, according to the NSS report, domestic tourists have spent about Rs 2.2 lakh crore in Uttar Pradesh. Whereas Rs 10,000 crore has been spent by foreign tourists. This means that the total expenditure in UP is Rs 2.3 lakh crore. With the completion of Ram temple in Ayodhya and promotion of tourism, this figure may cross Rs 4 lakh crore in UP by the end of this year. Before the pandemic, i.e. in the year 2029, India's share in international tourism was only 2.06 percent with 14th ranking. Even in the Asia-Pacific region, it ranks sixth with only 7 percent share.

Uttar Pradesh's share in India's GDP

As India is moving towards a 5 trillion dollar economy by FY 2028… Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh will become a 500 billion dollar economy and contribute 10 percent to India's GDP. India is expected to achieve a $5 trillion economy by FY 2028, for which it needs to grow at a CAGR of 8.4 per cent by 2027. SBI says that UP will be one of the two states that will cross the $500 billion mark in 2027 (or FY28) when India will take the third position in the global economy.
