'Destiny had decided the construction of Ram temple', know what Lal Krishna Advani said about PM Modi

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Prime Minister of the country Lal Krishna Advani said that it was destined that a Ram temple would be built in the holy city. He said that as the journey progressed, he realized that he was just a charioteer and the chariot was the main messenger of the journey.

Only a few days are left for the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani said it was destined that a Ram temple would be built in the holy city. Lal Krishna Advani said these things during a conversation with the magazine 'Rashtradharma'. The latest issue of the magazine will be released on January 15. The former Deputy Prime Minister also recalled how the Rath Yatra initiated by him had helped gain momentum for the temple in 1990.

Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the construction of a grand temple in Ayodhya, Advani said that Modi has fulfilled the wishes of millions of people of the country. It is noteworthy that during the Rath Yatra, Modi was an ally of Advani and everyone was with him.

The most transformative event of political life

He said, “It has been more than 33 years since the Rath Yatra. We started this journey on 25 September 1990. At that time we did not realize that it would take the form of a movement.” He told that the Ayodhya movement was the most decisive and transformative event in his political journey.

Advani said, as the chariot moved ahead, public support was increasing from other states including Maharashtra, Gujarat. Unknown villagers from far-flung villages came to me overwhelmed with emotion after seeing the chariot. They will bow to Lord Ram and chant his name.”

'I was just a charioteer'

He said that as the journey progressed, he realized that he was just a charioteer and the chariot was the main messenger of the journey. He said that he realized that he was only a charioteer. The main messenger of the Rath Yatra was the chariot itself. This chariot was revered because it was going to Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, to fulfill the sacred purpose of building the temple.”

Remembering another senior BJP leader and late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he said that when the country gets ready to inaugurate the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, Vajpayee will also be missed.

He said, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the temple, he will represent every citizen of the country. I pray that this temple will inspire all Indians to adopt the qualities of Lord Ram.
