Families of those killed during Congress rule are opposing Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra in Assam: Amit Shah


Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the families of those who were killed during the Congress tenure are opposing Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. People say that a lot of injustice happened during the tenure of Congress. Thousands of youth lost their lives in Assam. The country fell into the grip of extremism. The families of those killed have opposed this justice march.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has targeted Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Addressing the passing out parade of the first batch of five newly formed commando battalions of Assam Police in Guwahati on Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that those whose relatives were killed during the Congress tenure were opposing Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra. Shah said that I asked some journalists here what is going on there? People say that many injustices have happened during the tenure of Congress. Thousands of youth lost their lives, the country got caught in the grip of extremism, the families of those killed have opposed this justice march.

The Assam leg of the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra started from January 18 and will continue till January 25. This yatra will pass through 17 districts of the state and will cover a distance of 833 kilometers.

Shah said that in the last 10 years, there has been a big change in the legal system of the country under the Narendra Modi-led government. Jammu and Kashmir, Naxalite areas and North-Eastern regions remained disturbed during the tenure of Congress. Now there is peace in these areas which is a matter of happiness for us. During their Congress government, people had to pay bribes to get jobs. In the BJP government, one did not have to pay even a single penny to get money.

Shah said that when I came to Assam during the elections, we had promised to provide one lakh jobs without any corruption. Himanta Biswa Sarma has fulfilled that promise. Releasing the book, Bahadur Lachit Bopphukan said that if Ahom commander Borphukan and the rulers had not thwarted the efforts of the Mughals and invaders, Assam would not have been a part of India but of Bangladesh.
