Munawar Rana Passes Away: Famous poet Munawar Rana passed away last night on 14 January. He was 71 years old. He died due to cardiac arrest in PGI, Lucknow. Munawwar Rana was suffering from diseases for a long time. Rana's daughter and SP leader Sumaiya Rana had told that her father's health was bad for the last two-three days. When poet Munawwar Rana's health deteriorated, he was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Post-natal Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
Two days before his death, he was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow. He was suffering from kidney failure for a long time. He also underwent dialysis three times a week. According to the information received, he had recently complained of chest pain. When he was admitted to the hospital, he was diagnosed with pneumonia, due to which he was having trouble breathing.
For more information, let us tell you, Munawwar Rana was born on 26 November 1952 in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh. He received his early education in Rae Bareli and then completed his graduation and post-graduation from Lucknow University. Munawwar Rana was a talented poet. Many subjects like love, separation, patriotism, social concern and satire have been depicted in his poetry.
Munawwar Rana was honored with many awards. Which includes Padmashree and Sahitya Akademi awards by the Government of India. The demise of Munawwar Rana has dealt a big blow to the Hindi literary world.
