South superstar Mahesh Babu has wreaked havoc at the box office with Guntur Karaam. His film has become the biggest opening film of the year. This film, which released in the beginning of the year, has made the box office buzz. The film has done a business of more than Rs 80 crore on the opening day.
According to film trade expert Manobala Vijayan, Guntur Karam has earned a whopping Rs 54.23 crore on the first day (gross) at the domestic box office. Apart from this, the film has done a business of Rs 27.85 crore in the overseas market. This means that not only in the country but also abroad the film seems to be making strong earnings. If both the figures are combined, the worldwide earnings of Guntur Karam have reached Rs 82.08 crore.
Bumper earnings in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
Even before its release, Mahesh Babu's Guntur Karam was seeing a lot of craze. Its trailer also got good response as expected. The special thing is that the film has got the best response in Mahesh Babu's home i.e. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In these two states alone the film has earned Rs 44.50 crore. Apart from these, the film has done business of Rs 4.50 crore in Karnataka, Rs 50 lakh in Tamil Nadu and Rs 50 lakh in other states of the country.
How much did Hanu Maan earn?
This week, Teja Sajja's film Hanu Maan also released at the box office. The special effects of this film are being highly praised. Many people are targeting Prabhas starrer Adipurush on the pretext of praising this film. However, despite much praise, the film has been able to do business of only Rs 7.56 crore at the box office. In this, the film has earned Rs 5.50 crore from the Telugu market and its Hindi version has earned Rs 2 crore.
