If fingers and toes are swelling in winter, then adopt these home remedies.

Swelling of feet and fingers is quite common in winter. Along with this, one has to face problems like pain, redness, swelling and itching in hands and feet. Therefore, to get relief from this, you can also adopt some home remedies.

At present it is very cold in Delhi and its surrounding areas. In such a situation, along with the skin becoming dry and itchy, red marks start appearing on the hands and especially the toes and they start swelling along with itching. It is quite common to have this kind of problem in winter. But because of this you may have to face a lot of problems at times.

But there are some remedies which can help you get relief from this problem at home. So let us tell you about those home remedies which can provide relief from swelling and itching.

fomentation with rock salt

To get relief from swelling in hands and feet in winter, mix rock salt in warm water and soak your feet in it for 10 to 15 minutes. The warmth of the water will provide relief from pain. Keep in mind that do not do this too many times a day because hot water can also cause dryness in the skin of the feet.

hot oil massage

Take a little amount of olive, coconut or mustard oil as per your convenience in one cup, place it on a pan and heat it. Now massage with this oil with light hands. This can help in proper blood circulation in the affected veins and relief from pain. As long as there is swelling in the feet, heat the oil and massage it two to three times a day. Keep in mind that the room temperature should be normal while massaging. Do not massage in AC or cold temperature.

coconut oil and camphor

Heat coconut oil and add camphor in it. Now when it cools down a bit, massage it with light hands where there is swelling and redness. This can also help in reducing itching.

oil and candle

Heat mustard oil and then put a candle in it. Cook until the candle melts completely. Now after it cools down, apply it on the swollen area while massaging it gently. You will feel relief after applying it 2 to 3 times.

Flour

The warmth of the flour can provide relief from pain. For this, make a paste of flour and apply it on the painful area for 20 to 30 minutes. After that wash it with lukewarm water.
