Lohri Special Recipe: The festival of Lohri and Makar Sankranti is about to come. The first festival of the year i.e. Lohri will be celebrated on 14 January. The festival of Lohri is celebrated with great pomp in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh. The festival of Lohri is also related to crops. Sugarcane and radish are also sown from this day. People celebrate this festival dedicated to Agnidev by lighting fire at night and singing songs.

But any festival is incomplete without a signature dish. In such a situation, we will tell you about the traditional dishes made on the festival of Lohri. The names of these dishes are Sarson Ka Saag and Gum Laddu. So let's know from Chef Sanyjot Keer and MasterChef Harry.

Make gum laddus

Chef Sanyjot Keer has shared its very simple recipe. Its preparation time is 10 minutes and cooking time is half an hour. To make this you will need-

gum 200 grams

Cashews 100 grams

Almonds 100 grams

Pistachios 100 grams

Ghee 250 grams

wheat flour 500 grams

powdered sugar 350 grams

Dry Ginger Powder 75 Grams

Cardamom Powder 35 Grams

Raisins 100 grams

Pumpkin seeds 75 grams

Grind the gum in a grinding jar and make a fine powder. Now keep the heavy bottom pan or kadhai with base on medium flame. Add ghee and wheat flour in it and keep stirring continuously. Keep frying the flour on gas until it turns brown. As soon as you get a color like light brown biscuits, immediately turn off the gas. Now add ground gum powder and mix well. After this add powdered sugar, dry ginger powder and cardamom powder and mix. After this you mix nuts in this mixture. Transfer it to a bigger size vessel. After this, shape this mixture with hands. Your Lohri pinnis are ready.

Spinach 250 grams

Corn flour 50 grams

garlic 2 cloves

a little ginger

Green chilli, onion, turmeric, cumin, coriander powder and ghee

After washing green leafy vegetables, chop them finely and boil them in the cooker for half an hour. After this you blend it with corn flour. Now heat ghee and add cumin, onion, green chilli, coriander powder and garlic. Let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes. When the greens are ready, add ghee on top.
