A plane has crashed on the hills in Badakhshan, Afghanistan. It was said by the Afghan media that this is an Indian aircraft. However, the Indian Government has rejected it. Later information came that the plane belonged to Russia.
A plane has crashed in Badakhshan province of Afghanistan. Afghan media said that it was an Indian plane and was going to Moscow. However, the Indian government says that this aircraft does not belong to India. The Civil Aviation Ministry says that the plane that crashed in Afghanistan last night is not Indian. The DGCA official has confirmed that this is not an Indian aircraft. According to a senior official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the plane which crashed in the mountains of Badakhshan province belonged to Russia.
The ministry has tweeted that the unfortunate plane crash that has just happened in Afghanistan is not an Indian plane. This aircraft was registered in Russia. The flight from India which went from Delhi to Moscow today has landed in Moscow. According to the information, there were a total of 6 people in the plane, out of which 6 were passengers.
Russian aviation officials say a Russian plane disappeared from radar over Afghanistan on Saturday evening. There were 6 people on board the plane. This aircraft was France's Dassault Falcon 10 jet. This was a charter plane which was going from India to Moscow via Uzbekistan.
Giving information about the incident, Taliban's information and culture chief in Badakhshan, Zabihullah Amiri, said that the plane crashed in the artillery area of Zebak district. The officer said that a team has been sent to the spot to investigate the accident.
