The star kid who ruled cinema in the 40s, even Ranbir and Hrithik could not break the record.

Superstars like Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan may have proved their mettle in Bollywood with their acting, but there was one star kid of the 40s who ruled the cinema during that period itself. This actor played his first lead role at the age of 23. Even today people are crazy about his acting and art.

Starkids have been dominating Bollywood cinema since the beginning. Often, following the footsteps of his parents, he tries to establish his career in Bollywood. Because of this he has to face a lot of criticism. However, there are some talented starkids like Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan who have made a mark in Bollywood on the basis of their hard work. But, there was one star kid in the world of cinema whom people remember even today. He was more famous than these superstars. We are talking about Raj Kapoor, son of the Kapoor family.

In the 40s, Raj Kapoor had exerted his tremendous magic on Hindi cinema. As soon as he entered the film industry, he started climbing the stairs of success year after year. However, initially the tag of a star kid was also attached to him. People recognized him as the son of Prithviraj Kapoor. At the age of 23, Raj Kapoor played his first lead role. After this, he gradually became so successful that a time came when he opened his own production house. Raj Kapoor directed the 1948 film 'Aag' under his banner. After this, he started giving hits one after the other and got his name registered in the list of big stars of that era.

Entered cinema at the age of 23

Raj Kapoor worked in the best films of his career in 1949. Raj Kapoor, who debuted at the age of 23, did two big films at the age of 25, named 'Andaz' and 'Barsaat'. Both these films had set the record for the highest grossing films of that era. Raj Kapoor's acting cannot be compared with any big star of today's times. He is remembered as a legend of cinema. Raj Kapoor was equally successful as an actor as well as a producer and director. People used to be impressed by his acting.

Raj Kapoor's film career was brilliant

According to media reports, between 1948 and 1985, he produced 16 films under the banner of RK Films. Out of 16, 10 of his films were superhit. Some of these were also blockbusters at the box office. Apart from this, as a lead role, Raj Kapoor had prepared a list of 5 blockbusters, 1 superhit and 11 hit films in his total career. He was the only actor who gave three highest-grossing films in different eras. One of his films had made the record of the Indian film doing the highest business at the overseas box office for almost 3 decades. Perhaps this is the reason when he said goodbye to the world on 22 June 1988, it seemed as if the lamp of cinema had been extinguished.
