This is a symbol of discrimination against women MPs in Australia.

News channel apologized

After the uproar over the picture, the news channel apologized and said that it was a mistake of Photoshop and Artificial Intelligence. Nine Melbourne's news director Hugh Neylon said in a statement: “Our graphics department commissioned an image of Georgie for this story, which we had to scale down to fit the parameters of our channel. During that process, Photoshop created an image that was not true to the original. This does not meet our editorial standards and for this we sincerely apologize to Ms Purcell.
