Rohit Shetty is a Bollywood director who has entertained people through many excellent comedy and action films. Most of his films have done good business at the box office. However, one of his films was released in the year 2022, which flopped badly at the box office. The film we are talking about is 'Circus', in which stars like Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Varun Sharma, Johnny Lever, Deepika Padukone were seen. According to reports, the budget of this film was around Rs 150 crore, but it could collect only Rs 61.41 crore worldwide.
Currently, Rohit Shetty is in the news these days because of his web series 'Indian Police Force'. This web series of his has been released on Prime Video on 19 January. Meanwhile, in a conversation with ANI, Rohit talked about his film 'Circus' and explained the reason behind making this film. He said, “That film was made during the Corona epidemic, when things were changing. Today if I have to work on that subject, I will not touch it.”
Let's make it, the workers will also be busy - Rohit
Rohit Shetty further said, “Sooryavanshi was not released. Indian Police Force was about to start and there was a gap of 8 months because the pandemic was going on. If workers were sitting at home, what should we do? We had this script for a long time, which was a simple and short film. So I thought, 'Let's make it, the workers will be busy and so will we.'"
Rohit also told, “It was a studio based film, no car flying, no action, no hero type entry.” He also said that when things became a little easier due to the pandemic, Circus was the first film to start after that. According to him, a lot of expenditure was incurred on this film, because every week blood tests, Covid tests, keeping people with antibodies and keeping those who do not have antibodies away from the sets, things like this were happening.
