Why should Trudeau be afraid of this special friend of India? Such a statement was given regarding a right wing leader

Presidential elections are to be held in America this year. Former President Donald Trump is also making a claim. He can be the candidate of the Republican Party. Whether Trump comes to power or not will be known only when the election results come, but Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is already nervous.

Donald Trump is claiming the post of President of America for the third time. He has emerged as the strongest contender for the nomination from the Republican Party. He recently addressed his supporters in Des Moines, the capital of Iowa state. This is his first official step towards getting the nomination from the Republican Party for the third time. However, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is not liking Trump's claim. He has said that if Trump wins the election, it will be a step backward, which will be difficult for Canada.

Addressing a discussion organized by the Montreal Chamber of Commerce, Justin Trudeau said it was not easy the first time and it will not be easy the second time either, Reuters reported. Trudeau also said that if Donald Trump comes to power after the upcoming elections, it will not be easy for Americans. But we cannot imagine a day when it will ever be easy for Americans, he said. Justin Trudeau said Trump's victory would be a step backward.

What else did Trudeau say?

He further said that the main responsibility of any Prime Minister is to represent and protect the interests of Canada and Canada has been able to discharge these responsibilities very well over the years. Justin Trudeau came to power in November 2015. Their relations were tense when Trump was the US President. In 2018, Trump had accused Trudeau of being weak and dishonest.

Canada sends 75 percent of its goods and services to America. Upon coming to power, Trump had talked about renegotiating the free trade treaty binding the US, Canada and Mexico. Canada spent nearly two years negotiating to create a tripartite treaty that largely protected Canadian interests. Recently a survey was conducted in which almost two-thirds of Canadians believe that American democracy cannot survive the next four years of Trump in power.
