According to the PIB release dated January 19, 2023, the order said, Ram Lala Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya will be celebrated all over India on January 22, 2024. So that employees can also participate in this celebration, it has been decided that all Central Government offices, Central Institutions and Central Industrial Establishments across India will remain closed for half a day till 2:30 pm on January 22, 2024. Due to the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, government banks, insurance companies, financial institutions and regional rural banks will remain closed for half a day (till 2.30 pm) on January 22. The list of bank holidays is published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

What will be the timing of private banks on 22 January?

Bank branches of private banks in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed on 22 January 2024 (Monday). The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has updated its bank holiday matrix, which now states that all banks (including government and private banks) in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed for the entire day. Branches of some private banks will remain closed in Uttarakhand also. All Indian banks will remain closed on 26th January i.e. Friday on the occasion of Republic Day.
