What she didn't realize at the time was that the brooch was a 'historically important' piece of 19th century jewellery. He came to know about this when he watched a hit BBC series Antiques Roadshow. A similar jewelery was shown in it, which was similar to the jewelery that the woman had. After this the woman contacted the auctioneers.

Historical treasure accidentally got hold of

Flora was even more surprised when experts revealed that her brooch was created by the great Victorian Gothic Revival designer and architect William Burgess, best known for designing Cardiff Castle and Castell Coch in South Wales. His designs are displayed in the Victoria and Albert Museum. Flora told that she had bought the brooch in the year 1988 in a Midlands antiques market for just 20 pounds i.e. about two thousand rupees. Now it is believed that this historical brooch can be sold in the auction for between 10 thousand to 15 thousand pounds i.e. about 15 lakh rupees.

However, the brooch that was sold before this was sold for 31 thousand pounds i.e. about 32 lakh rupees. That brooch was auctioned in the year 2011.
