IPL 2024: Lucknow team flies under the storm of SRH, crushed by 10 wickets in a one-sided match

 


In the 57th match of IPL 2024, with the help of stormy half-centuries from Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, they defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 10 wickets. There were still 62 balls left in the match. Hyderabad has defeated Lucknow for the first time in the history of IPL. Earlier, they had to face defeat in 3 matches. This victory of Hyderabad sealed Mumbai Indians' exit from the playoffs.

SRH became the first team in IPL history to score more than 100 runs in the powerplay twice. Hyderabad had scored 125 runs in the powerplay against Delhi in the same season. Hyderabad had scored 101 runs in 5.4 overs. In this match, Hyderabad played Abhishek Sharma in place of T Natarajan as an impact player. Captain KL Rahul played an innings of 29(33) runs at a slow pace. In this innings he hit only one six. Krunal Pandya scored 24(21) runs. Rahul and Pandya added 36 (34) runs for the third wicket. In this innings he hit 2 sixes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar managed to take maximum 2 wickets in his name from Hyderabad. Captain Pat Cummins took one wicket. 

Hyderabad chased the target and won the match by scoring 167 runs in 9.4 overs without losing any wicket. For Hyderabad, most of the runs came from the bat of Head. He played a half-century inning of 89* runs with the help of 8 fours and 8 sixes in 30 balls. Head scored his fourth half-century of this season in 16 balls. Abhishek played an unbeaten half-century of 75 runs with the help of 8 fours and 6 sixes in 28 balls. Abhishek scored his second half-century of this season in 19 balls.
