After getting to bat first, Wriddhiman Saha came out to bat along with captain Shubman Gill on the field. Wriddhiman Saha scored 1 run and Shubman Gill became the victim of Mohammad Siraj after scoring 2 runs. Sai Sudarshan, who was in excellent form, also returned to the pavilion after scoring 6 runs, but David Miller and Shahrukh Khan made an important partnership of 61 runs for the fourth wicket. David Miller was out after scoring 30 runs and King Kohli ran out Shahrukh Khan after scoring 37 runs. Swapnil Singh supported Dinesh Karthik for the 7th wicket. Together they made an important partnership of 31 runs and RCB won the match by 4 wickets. Dinesh Karthik scored 21 runs off 12 balls while Swapnil Singh remained unbeaten after scoring 15 runs off 9 balls. With this win, RCB has kept its playoff hopes alive. For Gujarat, Josh Little took maximum 4 wickets while Noor Ahmed also got 2 wickets.
