IPL 2024: 'Swept the money down the drain...'- Yash Dayal's father exposed the trolls; Remembered the days of son's struggle

Yash Dayal: IPL 2024 is proving to be great for Yash Dayal. Recently, he played an important role in helping Royal Challengers Bangalore win by 27 runs against Chennai Super Kings in the 68th match of IPL 2024. However, last season, KKR's young batsman Rinku Singh led his team to victory by hitting 5 consecutive sixes in an over against Yash. After this Yash had to face a lot of criticism. At the same time, his family also had to endure a lot. This has been revealed by Yash's father Chandrapal.

The taunting people are calling to congratulate - Chandrapal

For Chennai Super Kings, a win against the Bengaluru team was necessary to make it to the playoffs. Yash Dayal gave his team a spectacular victory by defending 17 runs in the last over of Chennai's innings, after which there is a stream of people congratulating his family. But Yash's father has not forgotten the time when these same people used to taunt Yash.

Chandrapal Dayal recently told in an interview to Indian Express that after that match, one of my acquaintances had shared a meme in the WhatsApp group, in which Yash was made fun of. I still remember he wrote with the meme that the story of Prayagraj Express ended before it even started.

This way the mockery did not stop, after which we left all WhatsApp groups except our family group. Not only this, when RCB bought him in the auction for Rs 5 crore, I remember someone saying that Bengaluru had wasted the money. We live in a world where even if you stay away from social media, you will still see things like this.

Yash's father further said that everyone thought his son was weak. Today I am receiving lots of congratulations on the phone. However, still no one is discussing about his hard work and the way he deals with pressure. In the last one year, Yash has learned many new things in his game. One thing we have realized over time as a family is that cricket is really a fun game.
