At what time should Tulsi garland be worn?
According to astrology, Pradosh period is considered auspicious for wearing Tulsi garland. Tulsi garland should be worn in the evening during Pradosh Kaal i.e. after sunset. Apart from this, you can also wear Tulsi garland on Monday, Thursday and Wednesday. Even by mistake, one should not wear Tulsi garland on Sunday or Amavasya. Tulsi is considered to be the abode of Goddess Lakshmi, hence worshiping it pleases Goddess Lakshmi.
Correct rules for wearing Tulsi garland
-A person wearing Tulsi rosary should not consume tamasic food i.e. garlic and onion.
-If you are wearing a Tulsi rosary then you should never consume meat or alcohol. By doing this, Goddess Lakshmi will get angry.
-If for some reason the Tulsi rosary falls off from the neck, then before wearing it again, it should be purified by washing it with Gangajal. The rosary should be worn again.
