Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina clashed with each other over a social media post. Now the former Pakistani captain has broken his silence on this matter. Afridi has said that he talked to Raina and the Indian cricketer removed his post. Let us tell you that Raina had also taunted the Pak team and Afridi while referring to the India-Pakistan match in the 2011 ODI Cricket World Cup.
The journalist posted a photo of Raina and Afridi on Instagram and wrote, "ICC has chosen Shahid Afridi as the brand ambassador for the ICC T20 World Cup. Hello Suresh Raina?" After which Raina replied, "I am not an ICC ambassador, but I have the 2011 World Cup at home. Do you remember the Mohali match? Hope it brings back some great memories for you." After this reply from Raina, Afridi asked him to delete the post.
The former Pakistani cricketer told on his YouTube channel, "Suresh Raina and I have shared many cricket moments together and he is a nice person. Sometimes there were jokes. I saw his post on social media and talked to him. I understood the situation like a younger brother. He agreed to delete the tweet. Such things keep happening, it is all right. Great people correct their mistakes and rectify them."
Apart from Afridi, Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle and Usain Bolt are also in the list of brand ambassadors for the ICC T20 World Cup. Let us tell you that the tournament in the mega event will start from June 1 and will be played on June 29. India vs Pakistan two strong opponents will play on June 9 at Eisenhower Park Stadium, New York.
