A woman of Indian origin has been accused of brutalizing a six-year-old child in Singapore. The court will hear the case in June. It is being said that the woman may confess her crime. If she is found guilty, she can be sentenced to up to eight years in prison for her crime.
The woman (43) is a permanent resident of Singapore. She was taking care of the child at the child care center since 16 November 2022. During that time, she allegedly attacked the child with a pen several times. This caused injuries on his head and face.

The accused woman has been held responsible for negligence in taking care of the child under the 'Children and Young Persons Act'. Currently, she has got bail on a bond (15,000 Singapore dollars). The case will be heard again in June. If found guilty, the woman can be sentenced to eight years in prison and a fine of 8000 Singapore dollars.
