The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule of practice matches before the T20 World Cup starting in June. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team will play its only practice match against Bangladesh on June 1. The venue at which this match will be played has not been announced. 16 practice matches will be played before the start of the tournament.
On the other hand, there is no practice match between Pakistan and England, the biggest reason for this is that both the teams will face each other in a four-match T20 series this month. Giving information about this in its press release, the ICC wrote, "Unlike the previous cycle, teams can now choose to play two practice matches depending on the time of their arrival at the event. These practice matches will be of 20 overs per side. And they will not have international T20 status, allowing teams to field all members of their 15-player squads."
According to the schedule of practice matches released by the ICC, Australia will face co-hosts West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago on May 30, while South Africa will play an intra-squad game in Florida on May 29. You can see the full schedule of practice matches below.
