UP: Raped at the age of 12, became an unmarried mother at the age of 13… Son got justice after 30 years

At the age of 17, a son asks his mother, 'Mom, who is my father? What is his name?' The mother first avoids the question asked by her son. When the son insists, the helpless mother tells him the truth, hearing which the ground slips under his feet. Every word of the mother pierced his heart like an arrow. While telling the truth to his son, he remembers every picture of the crime committed on him 27 years ago. The son immediately decides to get justice for his mother and punish the culprits.

This heart-wrenching story is from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. In this story, after fighting a legal battle in the court for 3 years, the son has succeeded in getting his mother's accused punished. Her mother was gang-raped when she was 12 years old. The accused were two real brothers. At the age of 13, she became an unmarried mother and gave birth to a son. The same son grew up and took revenge for the injustice done to his mother. The court has sentenced two accused brothers to 10 years each in the gang rape case that took place 30 years ago.

What is the story?

The incident is of 1994. At that time the victim was 12 years old. She lived in her sister and brother-in-law's house in Thana Sadar Bazar area. Her sister and brother-in-law had government jobs. When both of them went to work, the victim was left alone at home. Two real brothers living in the house, Naki Hasan alias Blade Driver and Guddu, had an evil eye on her. One day, getting a chance, both the brothers entered the victim's house and raped her. Both the brothers started raping the victim every day by threatening her. During this time, the victim became pregnant at the age of 13. When her sister and brother-in-law asked her, she told them about the entire incident.

Gave birth to a son at the age of 13

Fearing threats and defamation from the accused, the victim's sister and brother-in-law took her to Rampur, where she gave birth to a son. After birth, the sister and brother-in-law gave the son to one of their relatives to raise and the victim got married at another place. After some time, the situation changed in such a way that the son whom she had given birth to before marriage came back to her.

One day the son asked about his father

Gradually the son started growing up. Meanwhile he had no interest in his father. One day he was filling a form. He had to write his father's name in the father's column. He asked his mother about his father's name. At first the mother avoided the son's question. The son insisted on this matter. Later the mother told the son about the entire incident.

DNA test brought justice

To get justice for his mother, the son filed a rape case against both the accused in Sadar Bazar police station in March 2021. During police interrogation, the accused denied the incident, but the son still did not give up. When the matter went further, the police sent DNA samples of the victim's son and the accused for testing. The DNA matched in the investigation report. After that, both the accused were arrested and sent to jail. On the basis of DNA matching and the victim's statement, Additional Sessions Judge Lavi Yadav has sentenced the rape accused to 10 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30,000 each.
