According to ICMR dietary guidelines, women should drink a glass (150 ml) of milk at 6 in the morning. After this, 60 grams of whole grains, 75 grams of green vegetables, 20 grams of pulses, 20 grams of nuts and 5 grams of oil should be included in the diet at 8 am.

Eat these things in lunch

Pregnant women should eat 100 grams of rice or roti, 30 grams of pulses or meat, vegetable curry, 75 grams of green vegetables, 200 grams of fruits and 100 grams of fresh fruits in their lunch. At the same time, include 20 grams of nuts and seeds with milk as a snack at 4 pm.

At night, women should eat 60 grams of rice or roti, 25 grams of gram, 75 grams of green vegetables and 50 grams of fresh fruits.

What to do and what not to do?

During pregnancy, women should include fruits rich in Vitamin C like Amla, Guava and Orange in their diet. In case of nausea or vomiting, take small meals during the day. To maintain Vitamin D, sit in the sun for at least 15 minutes every day. Eat green vegetables to meet your folic acid intake.

What not to do- Stay away from smoking, drinking and tobacco during pregnancy. Stay away from carbonated water. Do not lie down or sit immediately after eating. Walk for some time. Apart from this, do not drink coffee or tea after eating food.
