According to a story, many years ago, pleased with the devotion and worship of Swami Haridas, Shri Banke Bihari ji had appeared in Nidhivan. Swami Haridas used to serve his Banke Bihari with full devotion. They also offered him favorite dishes and worshiped him. While in the service of Bank Bihari ji, he once had to face a financial crisis. When he did not get any help from anywhere, Thakur ji gave darshan of his feet to Swami ji and Swami received a gold coin (gold coin) at the feet of Banke Bihari. Then Swami used to arrange for the service and enjoyment of the Lord with gold currency.
It is believed that whenever Swami ji was short of money, he used to get gold coins from the feet of Thakur ji. That is why darshan of the feet of Banke Bihari ji is not done every day. His feet are covered with clothes throughout the year. His feet are seen only once a year on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. Because the day Swami had darshan of the Lord's feet for the first time. That day was Akshaya Tritiya. Therefore, since then the tradition of offering darshan of the feet of Banke Bihari on the day of Akshaya Tritiya has been going on. Only once in a year, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, we get a golden opportunity to have darshan of the Lord.
